New arrival to Guatemala

The day after Christmas was a day of service for Mercy Wings International (MWI) pilot, Chuck Martinez.

As a missionary pilot in Guatemala, no two days are the same. The plan was to fly empty to Guatemala city and return with an inbound visitor. Flexibility remains the watchword in Central America. Glad to help, MWI was able to respond to last-minute transportation needs, taking on three passengers destined for Guatemala City.

Visiting guest from our home church Shiloh Christian Center, Sierra Vista, AZ
Chuck and Eric Cartier, just after flying from Guatemala City to Quetzaltenango (Xela). And, boy are our arms tired……

Eric is from Shiloh Christian Center, our sending church in southeast Arizona. Currently Eric is enrolled in the flight program at Cochise College, Douglas AZ, and has earned his private pilot certificate. Next he begins training for instrument rating, and commercial certificates.

Eric decided to use his two-week winter break, as an opportunity to experience missionary life and investigate mission aviation first hand in Guatemala. Glad to have you with us!
