Many Blessings During March 2017

Content to be in the background, but proud as a father could be to have daughter Rachael from Corpus Christi TX, visiting Guatemala and working along side of us, during this medical outreach in Aldea Barrios. My SIL Angel could not be with this time, but was on the job back in Corpus.

Robin and I were pleased to have our daughter Rachael and grand Lylah visit us in Guatemala for almost the entire month. At the same time, preparation were being made for LWT’s evangelistic medical campaign in Aldea Barrios, Olintepeque.

Guess who was all smiles to have granddaughter Lylah visit for the first time in Guatemala. Lylah was in charge of the “all important” job of handing out candy to the children while Grandma Robin records there vital signs.

Joining the U.S., team of 23 volunteers were special visitors from Shiloh Christian Center, Sierra Vista AZ, and Church of the Hills, Lometa TX.

Marcy and (Paul) Olson, (Church in the Hills), have know us, Chuck & Robin, before we were aware of the calling of missions on our lives and that’s a long time ago. But that’s another story………..
Katie Ferguson, long time member of Shiloh Christian Center, and our friend, on her 4th mission to Guatemala. Serving in the dental extractions area this trip
Pastora Raquel Villalvazo (Left), from our sending church, Shiloh Christian Center, Sierra Vista AZ. Pictured here with one of the volunteer Guatemalan dentists at the Aldea Barrios outreach.
Rachael and Lylah on the first day of the outreach. Yes, Robin and I are bursting with pride. Our daughter Rachael, when a child, was no stranger to missions in the deserts of Mexico, the jungles of Belize, and now as a wife and mother, the western highlands of Guatemala.
They say, a picture paints a thousand words…….. Though from vastly different worlds, and not sharing the same language, I think these two regard one another as friends.

By the end of this Evangelistic Medical Campaign 2,450 people were treated for vision, dental, and general medical needs. And guess what? 429 of these gentle people said yes to Jesus!
