The Mighty Engine….

“Prayer is the mighty engine that is to move the missionary work.” — A.B. Simpson

Albert Benjamin Simpson (December 15, 1843 – October 29, 1919), also known as A. B. Simpson, was a Canadian preacher, theologian, author, and founder of the Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA), an evangelical Protestant denomination with an emphasis on global evangelism.

For Robin and I (Chuck), as missionaries that live and labor in the western highlands of Guatemala, “The Mighty Engine of prayer” is something that must be kept in tiptop shape. Ensuring that daily it is maintained in good order and standing. Careful to not allow loss of power through spiritual cracks in our armor.

Similar is the engine that  brings a 3600 lb. aircraft to flight. Mercy Wings International (MWI) relies on this engine to produce every inch of rated power in every situation. To this end, the people of Guatemala are served and the Gospel of Jesus Christ is extended to the needy.
